Sensor Monitor Set, AN/GSQ-187, is a dual channel receiver with a permanent, hard copy recorder, and a TVD.
The sensor monitoring set (SMS) receives, processes, displays, and records sensor information relating to 60-
sensor ID codes. Detections are displayed as dashes. Classification codes are--
* P-personnel.
* T-tracked vehicles.
* V-vehicle.
* W-wheeled vehicles.
The TVD can simultaneously display up to 10 sensor ID codes and detection or classification information. A
keyboard permits the operator to program SMS operation, for example, set RF channels, establish hard copy
recorder format, and initiate SMS operational checkouts or diagnostic routines, as well as calculate target speed.
A separate display shows keyboard functions and calculations. The SMS is powered by a BA-5590/U battery,
and can operate from an integral screw in antenna or from the OE-239/GSQ-187 antenna group.
