Fuselage
The fuselage (body) of an aircraft is made up of three separate and distinct sections. They
are the nose, mid, and rear section. The canopy, cabin, or cockpit is also discussed when
describing a fuselage.
Nose Section. The front or forward portion of an aircraft fuselage is the nose section. The
nose of an aircraft is classified by its shape (Figure 14).
