Each operation involves different size
units. The corps is the focal point in coordinating the AirLand Battle. It
is also the focal point of the deep battle.
Deep battle derives from the operational concept. The ultimate purpose is
to use the entire depth of the battlefield to strike the enemy. Deep battle
strikes directly at the Soviet concept of warfare.
