a.
When the casket is ready to be removed from the hearse, the escort commander commands
"PRESENT, ARMS". The drum major salutes.
b.
The band plays Honors, if required.
c.
The band then plays a hymn as the casket is removed from the hearse.
d.
When the casket is placed over the grave, the band commander CUTS OFF the band , FACES
ABOUT, and SALUTES. Instruments remain in the playing position.
