57A. The final activity is to summarize.
Even though you summarize
frequently throughout the discussion by your questions and statements,
you need to tie everything together at the end.
Summarizing consists of four steps:
a. Summarize agreements or conclusions.
b. Indicate action needed at a certain point.
c. Make follow-up assignments, if appropriate.
d. Make a concluding statement.
What would the following questions accomplish: "Well, what are we going
to do about it?" or "Where do we go from here?"
