OVERVIEW
LESSON DESCRIPTION:
In this lesson you will learn how weather impacts on all phases of a military
operation, how it affects the use of chemical and biological agents, how to prepare
weather templates, and how to integrate weather and terrain factors into the IPB
process.
TERMINAL LESSON OBJECTIVE:
ACTION:
Request weather data, prepare weather overlays and templates, estimate
the effects of weather on enemy and friendly courses of action,
integrate weather and terrain factors, and discuss the effect of
weather on chemical and biological operations.
CONDITION:
You will be given narrative information and illustration from FM 30-10,
FM 34-1, FM 34-130, and FM 100-5.
STANDARD:
You will conduct weather analysis as it pertains to both conventional
and unconventional warfare in accordance with the provisions of FM 34-
130.
