circumstances permitting. Enemy materiel, documents, and logistical complexes must be promptly
safeguarded and reported through intelligence channels so that the maximum technical data may be
obtained.
7. NBC Technical Intelligence Units.
NBC technical intelligence capabilities begin at corps level in the Military Intelligence Company,
Technical Intelligence and Production (TOE 30-34 and TOE 30-48). These companies are allocated on
the basis of one per corps and one per theater army. They provide examination, analysis, and reports
on enemy materiel, including NBC materiel, collected by tactical units.

Examine, evaluate, and identify captured NBC materiel.
Examine, evaluate, and identify NBC equipment, when possible.
Prepare and forward samples of biological agents to medical laboratory facilities for

8. NBC Collection Center.
The NBC Collection Center, normally the NBCC at Division TOC, consolidates NBC 1 Reports of the
same attack received from various sources and transmits an NBC 1 Report to the NBCC, normally the
TOC at Field Army Headquarters. It transmits appropriate NBC 2, 3, and 5 Reports to subordinate,
adjacent, and higher commands. If there is no NBCC, the G3 assumes these responsibilities.
9. NBC Control Center.
The NBC Control Center, normally the NBC element of the TOC at field army, consolidates and
evaluates NBC Reports received from subordinate commands and Air Force, Marine Corps, and civilian
installations and agencies. It directs reconnaissance and survey efforts; transmits evaluated chemical,
appropriate reports to higher headquarters, adjacent commands, and national agencies. If there is no
NBCC, the G3 assumes these responsibilities.
