allocation of collection means to meet these requirements are staff responsibilities of the intelligence
officer.
The Intelligence Annex of the Division SOP should contain a list of OIR questions specifically about
Threat NBC offensive and defensive capabilities. This list is not all inclusive, but is intended to serve as
a guide. The questions are used by intelligence units and other sources, which have the mission of
collecting information about the Threat and must be regarded as having the highest priority.
A suggested list of NBC Other Intelligence Requirements (OIR) is given here and on the following page.
What items of chemical protective equipment have been issued to Threat troops? Is there any
difference in issue for particular areas? If so, what items for which areas?
What immunizations have Threat troops received?
Are there any new or recent immunizations indicated by prisoners during interrogation?
Are Threat troops equipped with protective masks? Is the individual required to carry the mask
on the body? Are there any sectors where the mask is not required? What accessory equipment
is issued with the mask?
Is protective clothing issued to Threat troops? If so, what type of clothing or articles? If special
clothing is issued, is it for any particular area?
Have Threat units constructed chemical protective shelters? If so, what type?
Are Threat fortifications, individual and collective, provided with overhead cover?
Are Threat troops issued any protective footwear or other means to provide protection against
liquid chemical agents?
Are Threat tanks or armored vehicles provided with protective equipment against chemical
attack?
Are Threat troops issued chemical first aid items, such as Atropine and 2-Pam Chloride or other
antidotes?
