Step 5.
Without changing hand or foot positions, lift the
reader, battery and connector case assembly (7),
(Figure 5-25), straight up and out of the case.
CAUTION
Failure to lift the reader from the carrying case as
instructed may result in damage to the equipment. The
removal strap is attached to the battery and connector case
and fastened around the reader. When removing the reader
from the carrying case, exercise caution in case the
removal strap is not securely fastened around the reader.
Step 6.
Set the reader and the battery and connector case
assembly on a work surface in the same position as
when removed from the case.
Step 7.
Unfasten removal strap (8), (Figure 5-25), and remove
strap from reader.
Step 8.
Grasp carrying strap (9), (Figure 5-25), with one
hand. Support the reader on the top front cover with
the other hand.
Step 9.
Tip the reader and the battery and connector case
assembly and carefully lower them until the reader
resets in normal operating position. Separate the
reader from battery and connector case assembly.
