Preoperational tests are complete. The display, (Figure 5-19), shows
(a) and then indicates dose rate, which is variable (b). When this
occurs, the RADIAC Set is ready for normal operation.

NOTE
To perform aerial surveys and vehicle route surveys,
auxiliary equipment is required.
See TN 11-6665-251-10 for further requirements.
7.
Read Accumulated Dose from AN/VDR-2.
The accumulated dose is the amount of radiation previously received.
Check this dose before and after operations. Record the doses and
turn them in to the operational exposure guidance holder, or as
prescribed in the local SOPs. To check the accumulated dose, do the
following after the equipment is in operation.
