NOTE
When the dosimeter cover is removed, do not touch the
phosphate glass (14) or diode contents (15). Fingerprints
may affect the reading, (Figure 5-31).

WARNING
Personal injury may result from failure to close the drawer
assembly properly. Close the drawer assembly by grasping
the handle firmly with one had, lowering the drawer cover
if necessary, and pushing the drawer into the closed
position. The free hand should remain clear of the drawer
assembly. Do not touch the transit lock with either hand
when closing the drawer assembly.
Step 8.
Lower the drawer cover and close the drawer completely.
NOTE
Constructive dosimeter readings may not be identifiable.
Record
the last reading only.
Step 9.
Press and release the DEPRESS FOR READING switch (3),
Figure 5-27, and record the reading displayed on the
DPM (6), Figure 5-27. Repeat this step if the reading
was not recorded during the two to four second display.
Refer to TM 11-6665-236-12, Table 3-1, if the reading
is negative or if the DPM display flashes.
Step 10. Pull out the drawer and lift the drawer cover.
