Weapon Systems. The major weapon systems of the infantry battalion are also
shown in Figure 18. The number of weapons systems organic to the battalion
are as follows:

18 TOWs.
o
4 107-mm mortars.
o
9 81-mm mortars.
o
27 Dragons.
These weapons are the same as previously discussed.
Infantry Division Artillery (DIVARTY)
The infantry division DIVARTY is similar to that of the airborne and air
assault DIVARTY (see Figure 19). Each was discussed earlier. The infantry
division is organized around towed artillery pieces as opposed to self-
propelled artillery pieces.
The multiple launch rocket system is not
organic to the DIVARTY of the infantry division as in the heavy division.
The infantry division also has one 155-mm/203-mm (8 in.) composite battalion
as compared to the other divisions.
These weapons are the same as
previously discussed.
