The IM-9E/PD is the only dosimeter that measures Gamma Radiation in
millirads (mrad), (Figure 5-5). The dosimeter will measure Gamma
Radiation from 0 to 200 mrad.
NOTE
Some IM-9E/PD Dosimeters may have the word millirad instead
of the word milliroentgens stamped on their calibration
scale. The term Gy has been substituted for
milliroentgens in this subcourse, where 10 Gy = 1 mrad = 1
milliroentgen. To convert a reading in mrad to a reading
in Gy, multiply the mrad reading by 10.
