The horizontal visibility overlay shows the density of ground vegetation and
elevation features. When the overlay is placed over a corresponding MC, the risk
associated with direct-fire weapons, electronic LOS for communication, and
intelligence collection and target acquisition systems become apparent, and key
terrain can be identified with greater precision.
