PROJECTION: Attributing traits to others which are unacceptable in oneself.
PRO-RACISM: A term used by whites to describe behavior by a minority that accommodates white
racism by re-enforcing and encouraging it rather than questioning, checking, or opposing

PROTESTANT WORK ETHIC: Basic to this Anglo-Protestant value is the idea of work as the duty of
every person. Originally, the idea was that to work hard is to glorify God. The theme was advocacy of
hard work and abstinence from personal pleasures; hard work was good in itself. Continuous work was
seen as a major defense against the sinful temptations of the flesh. The primary objective of work was
